About BlackTangra Advisory

Our mission

Financial leadership that closes the gap between strategy and execution — creating clarity, building capability, and driving sustainable growth.

BlackTangra was founded on a simple belief: that mid-size organizations deserve the same quality of financial leadership available to the largest enterprises.

We walk alongside owners, CEOs, and executive teams to connect financial strategy with organizational design — building the architecture, reporting systems, and capability they need to grow with confidence, and make decisions that last.

What we mean by "Y-Connector"

A Y-connector is a simple physical fitting — used in plumbing, audio, and network wiring — that joins two separate lines into one, so they function as a single system instead of two disconnected flows.

That's the model behind how we work. In most organizations, financial strategy and operational reality run as two separate lines — set in different rooms, by different people, on different timelines. BlackTangra connects them, so decisions made in one place actually hold up in the other.

How we work

Three principles that guide every engagement.

Organize first

Before strategy, before growth, before anything else — the financial architecture and organizational design need to be solid. Clear reporting, reliable data, defined roles, and accountable processes create the foundation everything else is built on.

Build capability

We don't just solve problems — we build the internal capability to keep them from coming back. That means developing people, improving systems, and creating processes that outlast any single engagement.

Move forward

Financial leadership exists to support decisions. Our goal is always to give leaders the clarity and confidence to move forward — not to produce more reports, but to enable real action.

Where we serve

Headquartered in California. Serving organizations throughout California and remotely across the United States.

While every organization is different, the financial challenges of growth are remarkably similar.

BlackTangra partners with owners, CEOs, executive teams, and boards that need stronger financial leadership, better decision-making, and finance organizations capable of supporting sustainable long-term growth.

Our experience spans multiple industries, but our approach stays the same: organize the financial architecture that lets leaders move forward with confidence.

The goal is never to produce more reports. The goal is to give leaders the clarity to move forward with confidence.

The BlackTangra name

Built on the Golden Ratio.

The name BlackTangra and the Fibonacci spiral at the heart of our identity reflect a belief in natural order, proportional thinking, and the kind of disciplined structure that allows complex organizations to grow with elegance.

Financial leadership, at its best, works the same way — creating the underlying architecture that allows everything else to expand in proportion, with purpose, and without losing its essential character — over the long horizon.
